Michael G. Smith

Mike Smith earned a Bachelors Degree in Public Accounting from Loyola University, Chicago and attended the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Mike has considerable experience in Public Accounting, and Fortune 150 Companies with 23 years of extensive experience consulting to distressed businesses.

Mike has assisted distressed businesses in retail, distribution, dairy, healthcare, property management, manufacturing, dealership, gas & oil, general property development services, food service, and many others sectors. He has served in the capacity of Financial Advisor, Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and President. Mike has served as Court Appointed Chief Restrucuring Officer, Court Appointed Financial Advisor, Court Appointed Examiner and Court Appointed Receiver in some of these engagements. Mike has been appointed receiver for occupied and unoccupied commercial retail, commercial office, and residential properties.

Mike has been a member of the Illinois and Arizona CPA Societies, The American Bankruptcy Institute, the Arizona Turnaround Management Association, and the Nevada Turnaround Management Association. Mike has served on the board of The Arizona Turnaround Management Association and the board of the Nevada Turnaround Management Association. Mike has spoken on various related business panels.
